Engineering Installation of SUJEET (YD 1234)

The Sujeet (Yard No. 1234) is the Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel-8 (AOPV-8) constructed by Goa Shipyard Ltd for the Indian Coast Guard. Built for extensive maritime surveillance and coastal security, Sujeet is equipped with modern communication, navigation, and electronic warfare systems, making it capable of handling a variety of missions including anti-smuggling, anti-piracy, and search and rescue operations. The vessel is designed for endurance in high seas and provides the Indian Coast Guard with enhanced maritime patrolling capability. The engineering installation for Sujeet was executed under Work Order No. 701761 dated 29.08.2020. The project commenced on 04th June 2018 and was successfully completed on 12th November 2020. Sujeet’s induction further strengthens India’s maritime defense infrastructure.
