Engineering Installation of SAKSHAM (YD 1237)

The Saksham (Yard No. 1237) is the Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel-11 (AOPV-11) constructed by Goa Shipyard Ltd for the Indian Coast Guard. As one of the latest vessels in the AOPV series, Saksham is engineered for excellence in maritime security missions such as coastal surveillance, anti-smuggling operations, and search and rescue. It features robust electronic warfare systems and high-endurance capabilities for long-duration deployments. The engineering installation for Saksham was executed under Work Order No. 701920 dated 21-05-2021. The project began on 21st May 2021 and was successfully completed on 8th February 2022. The addition of Saksham to the fleet significantly enhances India's maritime operational readiness.
