Engineering Installation of SAJAG (YD 1235)

The Sajag (Yard No. 1235) is the Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel-9 (AOPV-9) constructed by Goa Shipyard Ltd for the Indian Coast Guard. This vessel is part of a modern series designed for multi-role maritime operations including surveillance, interdiction, search and rescue, and anti-piracy tasks. With improved endurance and communication systems, Sajag enhances the Indian Coast Guard’s capabilities in high-seas patrolling. The engineering installation for Sajag was carried out under Work Order No. 701918 dated 26-03-2020. The project commenced on 26th March 2020 and was successfully completed on 15th March 2021. The commissioning of Sajag further bolsters India’s coastal and maritime defense network.
