Engineering Installation & Commissioning of SACHET (YD 1233)

The Sachet (Yard No. 1233) is an Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel (AOPV-7) constructed by Goa Shipyard Ltd for the Indian Coast Guard. Designed for extended maritime patrol, anti-smuggling operations, and search and rescue missions, Sachet is equipped with the latest navigation and communication systems, enhancing operational effectiveness in India's coastal security. The vessel is capable of operating independently in adverse sea conditions and is outfitted with high-end surveillance and weapon systems. The engineering installation and commissioning for Sachet was carried out under Work Order No. 701760 dated 21.05.2018. The project started on 28th May 2018 and was successfully completed on 24th February 2020. Sachet’s induction significantly bolsters the Indian Coast Guard’s maritime surveillance and law enforcement capabilities.
