About the Role
The role involves performing welding work for ship construction, repair, and equipment fabrication, including preparing metal surfaces through grinding, cleaning, and positioning parts. It requires carrying out structural and pipe welding in marine environments, as well as conducting inspections to ensure weld quality meets required standards. Additionally, the position includes maintaining welding equipment and tools in good working condition to ensure efficiency and safety.
Requirements
ITI certification, diploma, or proven experience in welding.
IRS & LRS certificates is a must.
Knowledge of marine and industrial welding standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams.
Skilled in MIG, TIG, aluminum and Arc welding techniques (preferred).
Understanding of safety procedures in welding environments.
